Texprocess 2022

After a three-year break due to corona, the leading international trade fair for the apparel industry Texprocess in Frankfurt could take place again in June 2022.
We were on site and, in addition to our existing products, presented the innovations of the next version for the first time. Both existing customers and industry insiders were impressed by our many new features, which enable unprecedented flexibility in style construction.

Type changes can also be made afterwards for all tools. This means that the style development can be changed flexibly and fundamentally at any time without having to carry out subsequent development steps again. Many new tools have also been added, such as spreading, modeling and relocating darts. This enables the user to carry out several design steps in one tool and to redesign them at any time even after the style has been completed.
During interactive adjustment, a preview can now be displayed, allowing the user to immediately assess the effects of the settings he or she makes on other parts as well.
The dependencies can be solved and changed afterwards. Furthermore, this even applies to existing styles from previous versions, so that elaborate developments can be reused in new styles.
Above all these content-related innovations, there has been a fundamental redesign of the program's look and feel, and with it an increased level of user-friendliness that has never been seen before. Intuitive menu navigation makes it much easier for new customers in particular to get started with the program.
The release of the new version is planned for 2023.

Another innovation, which we were able to present for the first time at Texprocess in presence, is Profile-Fit-Pattern 2.0. It offers the possibility to determine body measurements on the one hand or to digitize manual patterns on the other hand on the basis of digital photos.
The new semi-automatic feature of the interactive profile speeds up this process considerably and minimizes the risk of errors during application. In addition, the automatic contour determination eliminates the need to adjust the pattern pieces for grade rule grading.

In addition to the new functionality, the connection of GRAFIS to the VStitcher from Browzwear for 3D simulation was a big crowd puller. Also here there were many developments since the last fair appearance.
For example, avatars can be created automatically from the GRAFIS measurement tables. This is an enormous time advantage not only for custom designs, but also for standard grading. Also the functionality of the auto update and the stack transfer simplify the workflow immensely.

The Pattern on Demand from our partner Gertsch Consulting was also frequently requested and received a lot of positive feedback.

Even though Texprocess had significantly fewer exhibitors and visitors due to the pandemic, we are very satisfied with the success of the trade show. The future version 13 was extremely well received by our visitors and the smaller setting enabled much more intensive and longer conversations.
We are already looking forward to the next Texprocess from April 23 - 26, 2024.
